MAS-1, MAS-2, MAS-2B and MAS-3
|
MAS-1, MAS-2, MAS-2B, and MAS-3, are three different probes to
measure mA and mAs on X-ray equipment.
|
|
MAS-1
The MAS-1 provides
an inovasive way to measure mA and mAs on X-ray equipment. The MAS-1
probe is simply connected to the mAs socket of the X-ray generator.
Together with the Barracuda or Solidose family of dosimeters direct
reading of mA and mAs is obtained. The linearity of the mAs scale
and the absolute mA level can easily be checked with the MAS-1 probe.
Together with the Barracuda, the waveform can be studied.
|
|
The MAS-1 measures from 0.01 mA to 2000 mA and has a built-in second
low-pass filter with user-selectable bandwidth of 5 or 500 Hz. The
probe accepts a floating input range of +/-90 V relative to the ground
level. |
|
MAS-2 and MAS-2B
The MAS-2 and MAS-2B
probe can be used with Barracuda and MAS-2 with Solidose 300/400.
It provides a non-invasive way to measure mA and mAs on X-ray equipment.
The current probe is simply clamped on to the high voltage lead
and is then ready for measurements. It measures down to 10 mA.
|
|
The greatest advantages are that the probe is easy to use and that it is safe. Furthermore there is no need to disconnect the high voltage cables to be able to measure mA and mAs.
The MAS-2 and MAS-2B can measure from 10 mA to 2000 mA. The MAS-2
adapter has a built-in second low-pass filter with user-selectable
bandwidth of 5 or 500 Hz.
When MAS-2 or MAS-2B is used with the Barracuda, the mA waveform can
also be collected and displayed. |
|
MAS-3
The MAS-3 system is based on an IPCT* current probe and the MAS-3 adapter box. The system provides a way to measure the tube mA and mAs on X-ray equipment. Te current probe is connected by leading the high voltage cable through the probe and is then ready for measurements. Accurate readings can be done independent of the high voltage cable position.
|
The MAS-3 system is more than 100 times more sensitive than the MAS-2
system. The measuring range is from 0,1 mA to 2000 mA and there is
a built-in second order low-pass filter with user-selectable bandwidth
of 5 or 500 Hz. Together with the Barracuda or Solidose 300/400 dosimeters
direct reading of mA and mAs is obtained. When used with Barracuda
the mA waveform can be collected and displayed.
