Successful RSNA 2000 for RTI (2001-01-04) RSNA was a great success for RTI. Never has so many visited the RTI booth. It was of course the World Premiere for the new BARRACUDA that got most of the attention. Everybody was excited about the new device after having seen a demonstration. Visitors agreed on one thing: "This is what the market has been waiting for!" "Wow!", "Great!" and "Fantastic!" were other frequently heard words this year in the RTI booth.   RTI personal and international distributors had a busy time to demonstrate the Barracuda to all interested.

Barracuda (2001-01-04) A new era of X-ray analysis has begun with the introduction of the new BARRACUDA. The red cabinet packs a lot of power. Coupled with the unique Multi-Purpose Detector and a handheld or notebook computer, the BARRACUDA perform all type of measurements for QA and service. The 500 kHz sampling rate ensures that you can capture all type of waveforms. The QABrowser provides a quick and intuitive way to do the measurements. The QABrowser will easily step you trough the measurements. It features "real-time" display which can show up to six values simultaneously. oRTIgo 3.0B Upgrade Available (1999-07-08) The oRTIgo PMX software is available in a new version, oRTIgo 3.0B. Reported bugs have been corrected and we have done several improvements to make it easier to export data to MS Excel. A new utility program called Owis is available. Owis enables direct data transfer from oRTIgo to MS Excel. Please read the last part of the manual addendum, and try the examples we have supplied, to get familiar with the Owis program. The new manual addendum also explains the improved export possibilities in oRTIgo 3.0B. A quick installation of Owis 1.0A is automatically made when you upgrade to oRTIgo 3.0B. However, some system files might be missing on your computer to make Owis work. If so, download Owis 1.0A from the Download menu below and install the program separately. NOTE: If you have oRTIgo version 1.X and want to upgrade to 3.0B, please click here! Corrected bugs in oRTIgo 3.0B since oRTIgo 3.0A: Dose measure- ment Users have reported problems to measure dose in DOSIMETER templates with AUTO-range. The measured dose has shown zero or very low readings. Failure report A fail indicated on value under the line at the bottom of the template (in a Statistic or HVL template) was not reported in the Failure Report that can be printed. Correction of kVp The correction of kVp for the total filtration dependence is now exactly the same as the graphs shown in the new User's manual. The range is 1.25 to 8 mm Al.
